Are you a dentist or a dental office manager who needs help attracting more patients to your practice? It seems as though, as a dental office, patients should just start pouring in because everyone needs dental work right? Wrong.
There are several key marketing tactics that will help you grow your business and bring in more clients.
1. Community Involvement
Getting involved in the community you are in, is like becoming a part of the "family". If you have a booth at festivals, sponsor an event or sponsor a kid's sports team, you are showing the community that you support them; that you aren't just someone there to make money off of them, you actually care to become a part of what makes the community thrive.
2. Establish a "following" on social media
By having a strong social media presence, you are allowing potential clients to interact with you outside of the office and outside of business hours. You can establish a relationship with potential clients before you have even met them.
3. Local SEO
If you are a dentist in Denver, CO, you don't really need someone in Chicago finding your practice. Therefore, instead of focusing on keywords like "dentist", "dental office", try focusing on keywords such as "Denver Dentist", "Denver Dental" etc.
Keywords should also be diverse to attract a bigger audience.
4. Create a GREAT website
Your website is essentially a representation of your business. It should be given as much thought and effort as you put into decorating and maintaining your physical location. There's a good chance that when a potential first-time patient interacts with your business, it will be online and on your website. It should be attractive, professional, informative, well-organized and easy to navigate.
5. Utilize content marketing
Content marketing utilizes videos, pictures, blog posts, etc. to create a relationship. Clients want to know more about what you do in a way that is entertaining and makes sense.
6. Run ad campaigns
Whether it be with Google or social media (preferably both), ads are a great way to attract potential clients. They are easier to quantify and offer a higher ROI than traditional ads.
7. Set up mailers and email marketing.
It is important to let your clients know you care even when they aren't having any dental work done. Sending mailers and "emailers" when it is your client's birthday or to inform them of promotions etc., allows them to feel like an important part of your business.
8. Appointment Reminders
Let's face it, we all have forgotten about an appointment a time or two, so why not help your patients out with reminders?
You can utilize text messages, emails, phone calls, and mailers.
9. Remarketing Campaigns
Remarketing refers to connecting with clients you have already established a relationship with. Whether it is an existing client or a new client who just visited your webpage, remarketing allows you to stay connected. Facebook ads is a great tool to use for remarketing because you are given more options based on activity.
Whether digital or physical, newsletters are one of the biggest and earliest forms of content marketing. It is like delivering a series of articles and blog posts, directly to the client. With the use of newsletters, it is important to only send a certain amount throughout the year and it is even more important to allow patients to opt-in, that way you won't be overwhelming them with content and information.
